What Does this ultrasound Result Mean?

I had an ultrasound and the Impression stated: At least 3 hyperechoic masses are present within the liver. This likely represents multiple hemangioma. A CT scan of the abdomen is recommended for further evaluation. What are your thoughts? The largest measures 5cm

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Hemangioma of liver is a benign and common tumor of liver.
No treatment is required if the hemangiomas are asymptomatic.
However, symptomatic hemangiomas need to be excised surgically.

Thanks and take care

General Surgeon Dr. Shinas Hussain's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
i have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

As per your the above scans, you are having few benign(non cancerous) lesions in your liver.
You don't need to worry much as these are non cancerous and effective treatment is available.
Since the size is bit high, surgical removal may be needed. Consult a gastrosurgeon for detailed evaluation and treatment.
Thanks
